Note that "special service" intervals are typically applicable to vehicles that idle for excessive periods of time, are driven in congested city traffic conditions, tow/haul frequently, are driven off-road, and/or are operated in extreme hot/cold environments. The following information is specific to the 2.3L EcoBoost in Ford Ranger models only - service requirements may differ for applications outside of the Ford Ranger.
