Despite having more bells and whistles than the most luxurious of Lincolns, Ford's Atlas has plenty of unique features aimed to make life a little easier for those who need a truck that can work hard. Tailgate assist, integrated cargo cradle, trailer backup assist, dynamic hitch assist, a 360 degree field of vision camera (to paint nearby obstacles), integrated under body hidden cargo ramps, and no shortage of lighting in and around the truck bed. To promote fuel economy, the Ford Atlas also introduced many innovative features, such as automatic start and stop, active grille/wheel shutters, power running boards, and even a drop down front air dam to keep its next generation EcoBoost engine sipping fuel. Eventually, many of the Atlas' styling cues would be integrated into the aluminum bodied F-150 platform. The one-off concept would not reach a production phase itself.
